Today we went to the zoo. I figured everyone had had a long week and this would be a nice treat for the kids. I loaded them all up and off we went. We had a great time. They ran everywhere. And if I wasn't running with them they were calling to me to catch up. Even Zach was getting in on the encouragement and told me to run. Amazingly we saw a couple animals during our 45 min. run. I thought for sure they would be slow (we don't take strollers anymore) but nope. I was exhausted by the time we got home ready for a nap and hoping the kids would rest too but again I was wrong. They weren't worn out enough I guess. Now at 5 in the afternoon they are begging to take a nap. It truly was a fun day filled with lots of high energy activities. I guess I was the only one that had a long day.
