Elayna has been a bundle of silliness today. On the way to school we were listening to Chasing Pavements by Adele and all the kids were singing along. Elayna always changes the words to the song to what she thinks they should be or maybe she really does hear it differently. Today she was singing "or should I just keep chasing Taevin, even if he runs away", Taevin being the little boy that lives across the way. With Apologize by One Republic its "its too late to call the giants". Anyways, on the way home from school I was humming to the music not really paying attention to Elayna in the back seat when she yells "great scott!!!" (10 points if you can name the movie). It completely caught me off guard and I just had to laugh. Its amazing the things kids pick up on. I know she had seen parts of the movie but didn't realize it even made any kind of impression on her. She is constantly surprising us with her comments and here as of late her attitude. She would like you to believe she is a grown up and has all the authority that comes with it. I can't wait to see what she says next.
