Still going....
We finally filled up our gas tank. It was about a week ago and of course I forgot to update everyone on the final tally. The exciting news is we filled up at 341 miles. Remember we usually get about 250. We even filled up early because we didn't want to pay weekend prices so we still had another 50 available miles to go. Isn't that awesome?!?!? We attribute it all to slowing down on the freeway and actually going the speedlimit in town instead of our usual 5-7 miles over. We were thrilled. Talk about saving money. We are now working on going slower when we start from a stop. We are trying to keep our rpm's under 2000 when starting. Also if you brake sooner so you don't have to stomp the brake it will help conserve too. I wish the gas companies well but being that they are milking us for all we've got I am going to do whatever I can to conserve and save my money instead of giving it all to them. They do say that every 5 miles over 55 mph you go you can take an additional 20cents per gallon of your useage. Good luck to you all on your gas bills. Slow down and enjoy the ride and save your money!

OK, so I haven't looked at your blog in way toooooo long, because I had to scroll down like 10 posts to find the other part of this. :) Sorry! Wow, I need to have Marc read this about gas. He's got the lead foot in the family. It's depressing that you have to think about it now every time you want to go somewhere. We used to go to Houston so often, and now it has to be like a vacation for us because of the prices.
Yeap, it works...drove 60 MPH home from Flag...and beside the fact that it took forever and we didn't get home until 2 AM, we did great and saved at least 1/4 of a tank. AmazinG!
That is amazing! Who knew! I might have to give it a try, gas prices suck!
