After much waiting and anticipation we finally got a visit from my parents. We haven't seen them since Elayna was born and they came for the blessing. The kids talk to them on the phone regularly but still seeing is different than hearing. We had a great time! We went to the Desert Museum and to Tombstone, Dragoon and Toys R Us. We all soaked in the fun company and time we had. Greg was able to be home and have fun with us too. It was a great time had by all and we can't wait to see them again soon...just a couple more weeks. The kids loved their grandparents and weren't shy around them at all. Thank goodness they behaved and showed off for them too! It has been hard being out here on our own and I am thankful for the opportunities it has given us to grow as a family but it also reminds you just how precious the time you do get with family is. If I had to stay put for the rest of my life I would be happy. If we had the opportunity to be closer to family I would take it in a heartbeat. I loved seeing the smiles on the kids faces as they got to know their grammie and grandpa. It was hard saying goodbye but comforting to know they are only a phone call away.

How fun that your dad got to come and spend some time with you! Looks like you guys had a blast. My dad just moved down here to Austin. It will be nice to have him close to us!
